I am glad to know that Anjali Cooking School, Bangalore is publishing a book “shudh shakabari vyanjan kala” to commemorate that 2063 janam kalyanak year of lord Mahavira. I hope that publication highlighting the importance of vegetarian food would go a long way to promote great ideas of lord Mahavira’s non-violence which remain ever relevant. I came to know about the Anjali cooking school through The Hindu newspaper. I was in a short visit to India and was very interested in learning some advanced cooking. It was a wonderful experience learning vegetarian cooking with its latest teaching techniques and with a very good and friendly teacher. First I joined the classes from 29 Dec for Chinese, North Indian cooking vegetable classes., Napkin folding, Ikebana and hair style classes. Pushpa’s teaching was so good that I ended up taking few more classes like Rice Dishes, Soups, Bengali Sweets, Special Curries,Stuffed Dishes, Special Dals etc., The cooking classes which I took were very self-satisfying, helpful in our social circle in addition to giving lots of pleasure while cooking with its easy to follow recipe and giving lots of fun for our families and friends with a restaurant-style delicious and healthy meal. I am taking all the recipe books with me to the USA.

Graham and I are both cooks and until we came to India we were working at vegetarian restaurant in Brighton, England. We were both very keen to learn. more about Indian food fortunately we managed to find Kantilal and Pushpa’s cookery school on internet. They welcomed us into their home every day for one very enjoyable week. The course was very informative, interesting and fun. It has shown us just how amazing and diverse Indian food really is. We go away better cooks than we were before. Thank you very much Kantilal and Pushpa for your warm hospitality and excellent classes. Take care and good luck.

I’m Jinhee from South Korea. Last year I was tripped India, and have interested Indian food that’s why I came to India again. When I had arrived India (Bangalore) I couldn’t find any cooking school to teach me. So I went to book store and found some great books about Indian food that are made by Mrs. Tated. And I saw the address on the back side of the book I contacted the school, and started cooking!! How nice is This school is good for Vegetarians Is very healthy for you. You can cook healthier after learning. Mr. Tated, Mrs. Tated and their family were really very nice and kind. You must be like them if you meet them. Now I am going to Korea, but I’ll return to India and this school for learning another wonderful dishes!!

Anjali Cooking School

We have been giving training to our students of age from 10 years to 70 years, girls, boys, Men, Women from the last 35 years. In the list of our students are Lady Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, College Students, House Wives, Chefs, Foreigners etc. Our wishes Hunger free World, Slaughter Houses free Word, A peaceful World. We have trained about one Lakhs students in Pure Vegetarian Cooking. Still, our journey continues.
